The United Methodist Union of Greater Detroit is the missionary organization of the Detroit Renaissance District of the Detroit Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Through program support, capacity building, and developing new models of ministry, the Union works to strengthen and revitalize our congregations and mission agencies to serve their communities.

The United Methodist Union Executive Director, Rev. Carol Johns

Rev. Carol JohnsRev. Johns, who began August 1, 2015, retired from Farmington Hills: Orchard United Methodist Church where she served for 19 years. Prior to that appointment, she served Owosso: First, Bay City: Christ, and Saginaw: First United Methodist Churches. She is currently the Chair of the Detroit Annual Conference Council on Finance and Administration.
