MOM’S Place I & II

An apartment building being renovated to house MOM”S Place I & II

Purpose:  To facilitate adult Volunteers in Mission Teams wanting an urban experience in the city of Detroit.

  • We can provide and coordinate opportunities to learn, experience and worship in diverse settings;

  • Mission project opportunities

  • Housing; beds and showers (locations will rotate not to burden one congregation)

  • Facilities to prepare meals

  • Assistance in preparing for your experience

  • Joy Southfield Health Clinic (Second Grace United Methodist Church) Detroit
  • Baldwin Center - Pontiac
  • The 96 congregations of the Detroit East and West Districts of the United Methodist Church

  • Assist in a Health Clinic
  • Prepare and serve meals to the homeless
  • Home repairs - everything from painting to plumbing
  • Assist in youth and education buildings and other facilities
  • Street outreach ministry
  • Motown Mission
  • Much more
