The NOAH Project at Central

The N.O.A.H. Project is the ministry that serves the needs of the homeless at Central United Methodist Church, Detroit, Michigan.  They need your help to provide “winter survival kits” to be distributed at the Thanksgiving Dinner.  Items are needed by November 14, 2008.

Needed items include:

  • Thick gloves ($3.00)
  • Stocking hats ($1.00)
  • Bag of cough drops ($2.00)
  • Travel size pkg. of tissue ($1.00)
  • Roll of toilet paper ($.50)
  • Thick socks ($3.00)
  • 1 Hygiene kit

A hygiene kit includes:

  • Travel size shampoo, soap and toothpaste
  • Wash cloth
  • Travel size deodorant
  • Disposable razor
  • Toothbrush

There are numerous ways for you as individual or an organization to participate.

  • Collect or purchase one or more items (I have included the cost of what each item costs next to the item so if you or your organization chooses to assist us in funding an item you will be able to figure out how much we need to purchase that item.)
  • Assist with assembling the kits
  • Make a financial contribution for NOAH to fill in any remaining gaps

If you have any interest in helping us achieve this dream of distributing hope along with a Thanksgiving Meal, then please contact me at 313.965.5422 or yourpalamybrown@yahoo.com.

Amy Brown
